The course will cover the following; the emphasis will be on having fun and building your self belief.
Mountain bike preparation (safety checks)
Riding position and bike set up.
Correct use of gears.
Braking (efficiently and safely)
Cornering techniques
Climbing techniques
Descending techniques
Single Track riding techniques
Small drop offs
This course is for beginners or people who are new to the sport of mountain biking. All the items we will cover will be aimed at boosting your confidence and having more fun on the bike.
People taking on the course do need to have a decent level of fitness to undertake a days coaching and riding, but don’t worry we won’t be racing along or doing massive climbs!
Your bike should ideally be fitted with front suspension and disc brakes. Please make sure it is in full working order before you take the course. We will run through basic maintenance and set up tips with you on the course.
The course will take place at Brechfa trail centre or on local trails (weather dependant)
The course cost is £60 per person. (Group size max 4)
1-2-1 Coaching is £100
Course will run from 10am – 4pm (approx)
